God Mode is made available by Microsoft in Windows 7 as well as Windows 10 operating system. In recent preview builds, some of the functionalities of God Mode are also tweaked by the company.

What Is God Mode?

You can’t access certain settings from the Settings app on your computer or the Control Panel. The folder that hosts those hidden settings is known as God Mode.

A search engine that powers Windows Search and File Explorer is also added to the God Mode with the November 2019 update by Microsoft. The search bar lets users to have extra customization options and is more reliable than the one in the Settings app.

Step 1: Do not use the basic user account to log in to your Windows 10 computer, rather use an account that has administrative privileges.

Step 2: Right-click on the desktop screen and select “Create” and then click on the option ‘Create a new folder’.

Step 3: Name the newly created folder as “GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}”. Don’t include the quotation mark in the name.

Step 4: As soon as you rename the folder, the icon will automatically be replaced from the folder to the Control Panel icon.

Step 5: Now you can use any name of your choice as your folder name. You can see all the hidden settings of your computer upon opening the folder.

However, God Mode has remained unchanged with the latest version of the Windows 10 operating system. Furthermore, it only contains nothing more than a few settings that are regrouped. You will be redirected to use the Settings app for certain features, for instance, viewing system information.
